The popular Wolds Words Festival of Reading, Writing and Performance will return for its 11th fantastic year this October. Nestled in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wolds Words is a festival for all ages and offers something for everyone.

Based in the beautiful market town of Louth, the festival now features across the area in a range of great venues in the surrounding market towns of Alford, Horncastle and Spilsby and merges the magic of world class artists and performances alongside a more local community based programme.

Dates for 2012 are Thursday 17th through to Sunday 21st October 2012.

2012 is a vintage year for inspiring themes. We will be celebrating sport and sportspeople in recognition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and we are delighted that Wolds Words has been awarded the prestigious Inspire Mark in recognition that the festival motivates so many people to take part.

We will also be remembering Charles Dickens’s 200th Birthday; and contributing to the World Shakespeare Festival. Nearer to home our popular Rural Reflections will provide a great opportunity for locally-inspired sharing, and some great Lincolnshire talent will deliver performances and workshops for your delight. If that all sounds too much, we plan to bring some light relief with a lively comedy strand, alongside a great children’s programme of events and activities.

We hope to see you there!
